“Wealth is not wisdoms goal, but is often wisdoms reward.” – R C Sproul
As each of us live in times of uncertainty, the common goal we all share is to enjoy greater security in our lives. Having those guarantees brings us peace. As we reach the many milestones in our lives, it drives the different reasons why we set money aside.
Nothing is more expensive than a missed opportunity.
The Kameti Network understands the basic human drive to want more from whatever our socio-economic circumstances are. We are more than a product of our environment. At our core, we want the best for ourselves and each other. Where the ‘power of the people’ is a belief that underpins the values of Kameti Network, going beyond government help, Kameti Network is an organisation that will help each other.
Time is a rare commodity.
Without savings to fall back on, taking a financial risk on a business venture, further education, or dare to dream of a better life in another country is a luxury that some cannot afford. Through word-of-mouth, and not over-complicating the basic concepts of saving & borrowing, these Kameti’s paved the way for poorer families to fund the major events that can take place in one’s life. The purchase of a house, car or even a wedding was no longer a dream or ambition. From, and for each other, Kametis has helped create certainty for those with limited incomes. Where a a job helped those families survive, being part of a Kameti helped them truly live.
A Kameti in itself is made up of a group of people. Depending on the number of participants, will determine an agreed amount, term and monthly payment. Each individual will then pay into the Kameti Pot which will automatically make up the total each month.
Essentially, we fall under two categories, borrowers or savers. Though both have their advantages and disadvantages, Kameti Network has taken the benefits of each, and combined them into an institution that is powered by people.
Each month, a name is then drawn from the group who can then take that sum, to do so as they had intended. The name drawn will continue to pay until the agreed term has completed, and every name has been drawn. This will continue to apply to every name drawn who can benefit from using that lump-sum cash injection to fulfil their goals and go beyond their financial limitations.
